I just stumbled upon this video on my phone this morning with our former Senator, Ben Cardin, and our present Senator, Angela Alsobrooks. I was invited to this meeting—why? Simply because God gave me an assignment, and I followed it.
I can’t believe that a child who had no connections anywhere has come this far.
I remember years ago when someone asked me about my mother’s occupation. I told her that my mom was a retired school matron, and she was excited to associate with me. A few days later, she called me again and said, Titi, I was telling my friend that your mother was a retired nurse matron. I said, “No, ma’am, she was just a school matron.
She asked, “You mean your mom is not a nurse?
I said, Yes, ma.
Then she said something I will never forget. She said, “In our family, we mingle with rich people like lawyers, doctors, nurses, engineers, and many more.”
As a young girl, I felt so bad after that phone call.
I never liked nursing from the beginning, but because they called my family poor and due to advice from some people, I decided to study Nursing at Prince George’s Community College later dropped.
However, I knew from the beginning what God had destined for me. My mother always told me how I came into this world and about the covenant she made with God concerning my life.
TODAY, THE SAME CHILD SOME PEOPLE ONCE CALLED POOR —GOD IS NOW USING HER TO FEED THE NATION.
Never give up.
Seek the Kingdom of God first, and every other thing will follow.
